Ok, I know, it has been a while. I believe it has been about two months since my last post. But in my defense it has been a busy two months. So many great and fun things have happened, I really don’t know where to start. But one of the highlights and personal favorites was being a vendor at the Chartreuse and Co. market days. It was in incredible, beautiful weekend. Filled with so many wonderful moments. I met some incredible people and really felt blessed.
After being gone for a month this summer I really had to work very hard on getting pieces ready for the sale. I must say our booth wasn’t as planned out as it was for our spring Lucketts sale but we had some nice pieces and a lot of other fantastic fillers that helped complete the booth. But I was totally blown away with the amount of inventory we sold in just two days. I really wasn’t prepared for this, and I started to panic a little bit about how our booth was going to come together for our Sweet Clover barn sale that we had coming up in two weekends. I know, it is a good problem to have but I also wanted to be able to spend time with my family in those two weeks. But things all came together and it worked out quite well. But back to market days… Here are some photos of our booth and all of our goodies. I did make “candy corn” favors to give away to the first twenty people who purchased something. They were adorable if I don’t say so myself!
And I also had to take another picture of the slipcovered settee I finished just before the sale. I truly was thrilled with the way it turned out, and I also was proud of myself for completing the largest sewing project I had ever taken on! So much so I went out the next week and bought another settee to slipcover. I know, what was I thinking??? But it also will challenge me and help me grow as a seamstress.
I hope you all have been well, and are having a fantastic start to your fall. I know I am, and hopefully I will be back into blogging again. I really have missed posting my adventures. So take care, and I pray I will see you soon!
