Pretty Little Details…

I hope you are all having a great start to your week! All of my little ones were home from school today, so it was a day to relax and get caught up on things around the house. This past weekend was the barn sale down in Maryland. It was so cold the day I worked, but I had a lot of fun, and sold two pieces that had been in my booth for a couple of months! I also got some shopping in this weekend and scored some pretty little things to put around my house. I do not like clutter, but I am slowing giving in to things that only purpose is to sit in my house and look pretty. Here are a few of the things I picked up! In the picture on the left are things from my own booth! The best place to shop! I did buy the cute little % type from the owner of Stylish Patina.

I have always loved platters and trays but just recently developed a love for silver plated and pewter objects. I pinned a photo on Pintrest of a wall covered in silver plated trays and I thought I would give it a try in my house. I found all of these trays this weekend. I thought about hanging the black mirror where the silver trays are but it seemed a little big for the space. I think it looks kind of cute where it is now. Complete with a little hand print and all!

Finally, I will share with you a couple of auction finds. The roses were a Valentines gift from my parents. But the jars were an auction find as well as the Bible. It is dated 1850, and has a lot of personal items inside from the early 1900’s.  Have a great week! And I will be announcing my next giveaway soon!prettydetails2

  1. Hi Traer, Seeing this old Bible reminded me of an old leather handbound song book I got at a yard sale about 33 yrs ago. I must show it to you sometime.
