Blue Monday

Hi everyone, I hope you all had a wonderful weekend, and are having a great start to the week. I had a busy weekend, full of projects and fun with the family! I almost have my large ottoman done which I will hopefully have pics of  early this week. And I also took photos of the whole process to give you a tutorial of how to make one yourself! I am getting ready to take down all of my goodies to MD this weekend.  I have a ton of stuff yet to get done, like making new sales tags for all of my stuff, some furniture still yet to paint, and zippers to put in pillows. But I know it will all get done, and whatever doesn’t, can wait till the next sale! Once I have everything set up at the barn I will take pics and share. But today I thought I would share another $1 auction find that was turned into something beautiful.  I can’t take credit for this one, but it is one of my favorite pieces of furniture in my house.  My friend Amanda, bought this Ethan Allen chair at an auction for $1 and then recovered it in blue velvet!!!  I just love the look and feel of it!  We did take it down to VA, to the Luckett’s fair last spring, but surprisingly it didn’t sell.  Yay for me!!!   So begrudgingly I took it off her hands, and gave it a nice new home!  Well it is back to work for me! (Did I mention my house is also a disaster zone, ugh) So if you don’t hear from me soon the laundry pile ate me…
